The brochure takes the point of view that GM technology is an essential tool of the plant breeder although GM crops are not the panacea that will eliminate hunger. GM crops are safe for the environment and safe for people to eat.
The creation of these brochures was funded by small grants from the American Society of Plant Biologists and The Samuel R. Noble Foundation, and did not involve the biotechnology industry. Nevertheless we permit companies to distribute our brochures
